Having been a teenage boy, maturity is probably the last thing on their mind. A good friend of mine got a girl pregnant when he was 17. He's now 35, and was telling me how he told his parents. They asked him what he's going to do, he said he's too young to be a father he's going to stay home and finish his education and go to college. They said if you're too young to take responsibility for a child, you're too old to be living at home and at 17 he was out the door. The first thing he did was get in touch with the girl and they got a place. Would I feel ashamed walking around in public with them? It depends on his actions. If he became a father for the child, I would be standing tall and proud in public walking with my son. If he's doing nothing, and depending on me to shelter him I would feel a bit ashamed.

You let him decide since it's his baby and his life, but you have to be by his side. Oh and don't forget to slap the **** outta him before all that.

Yeah, I'd probably be a little ashamed. I'd also be worried about his future, since the pregnancy and new child could affect the rest of his life.

I wouldn't have a boy so it couldn't happen, lucky for me. But if it did I'd make him take responsibility for his actions

I will not feel ashamed. I will leave the decision upto him/her whether they want to have the kid or not . And I would teach them to first have enough resources to provide for a kid and then go ahead and have one. Having kids is not buying dolls from a market .
