Not sure you are doing her any favours if she is struggling with her work load to that degree. It is a problem that should be run past a more senior staff member and not on here.

Depends on how much you want to stay in the job, prospects of a promotion, etc. If the future there does not look likely to benefit you, then either offer to help (within limits), or refuse to without extra pay.

It's ok if you're being payed to stay the extra hours. If it's her job to do the pay roll then she should be able to do it on her own. If you have plans then tell her about it, she might let you leave earlier. You're also allowed to say no once in a while. If you're not getting payed for the extra hours and if she isn't doing any thing to help you then it's not really worth it.
