No, it's not worth it in the long run. I've run into two many people who have tried selling Avon and it takes a very long time to make money, and that's if you even do! It requires relying upon a pyramid scheme (getting others to retrieve others .... which is hard enough in itself) before you make any money. Also, if you have to pay an initial fee up's usually the sign of a scam.

Network marketing is a legitimate business. But recognize that it is a BUSINESS. Not a sales job. In fact, "sales" is not a skill needed in network marketing. Being able to lead and train and duplicate is what is needed. Being great at sales (in network marketing) is like being able to make a gourmet hamburger is to successfully running a McDonalds. It is NOT about doing one thing great - it is about duplicating.

Hi Pearl For companies like Avon, Amway, Melaleuca and other pyramid jobs like those, you have to be good at selling. You must be a great sales person if you want to survive with those jobs, because if not you will not succeed. I got into Amway myself and it did not go well.

No. Find a real job. Speaking of which, you have nearly half a million points here on YA. That takes time. It's not helping you with your real life problems, intellectualizing all day.

One can make money from Avon, but I believe an initial investment is required. After that, it is the same as any other pyramid scheme. You can either make sales or you cannot. The fact that you have to ask means that you do not understand it. If you can't see yourself slinging musk, then don't try.
