Yes,its still chemicals.

No u don't have to. I just got my hair highlighted and didn't get an allergy test. The stuff they use to highlight ur hair never even touches ur skin unless it is a bad hairdresser

No. If it's the same salon (with the same stylist that remembers well), then they should already know if you've had a reaction to the chemicals, and if you were able to get your hair colored before, then you should be able to get highlights. Most salons that have a well run system will actually record that kind of information (whether you have allergies to their products), so if it exists for you, then you won't need to do an allergy test.
