t This is the best time to really know him if he really loves you and serious about his proposal before. Do not feel insecure, that will work negatively in your relations, just relax and maybe set a serious date with him, try to open the topic by way of asking him about his proposal before, Ask him about his job, if you are ready and if he is not financially, you can discuss where you can meet both ends, good luck.

Talk to him about it. Tell him that you're ready and willing to get married at this point in your life, and start an open and honest conversation about your plans for the future as a couple. Your situation describes exactly why proposing before the marriage talk is a bad idea - THE PARTNERS NEED TO BE ON THE SAME PAGE. Once you make it clear to him that you want to get married, and you have a deeper understanding of what he wants in the future, then you two can start worrying about proposals. Perhaps this time you could be the one to propose to him. It would be very symbolic of your certainty and new-found sense of direction for your future as a couple. Just an idea...

My husband asked me 12 times before I said yes, he said he would not give up until I did. If you feel ready to marry now then ask him.

Why don't YOU just propose to HIM? Can't think of a better way to let him know you want to be his wife.
