Yes you can. Create first a subdomain in your cpanel and during the installation either via one-click installer like Fantastico and QUickInstall or manual Wordpres sinstallation, set your subdomain to be use. Given that your web hosting providers supports multi domain hosting features. However, you can freely try the following: 1. Hostgator -with cPanel 2. Justhost 3. Fatcow 4. Ipage

It is possible. Is it for security reason? I haven't tried or done it myself, but many people questioned the same thing. This resource may help: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3367581/how-to-run-wordpress-admin-on-a-different-subdomain I wouldn't use plugins though, as it can break your website, if the plugin has issue.

You could, it would be more of a hassle than anything. But if it's security you're worried about, create a new admin user, different name, and delete the old admin. This solves about 95% of wordpress issues, if not more. You could also see if the multiuser function of wordpress is up your alley: http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network
