Hey, so I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out, along with 4 other teeth, removed this last summer (and I'm 16) so I totally understand how scary it is. So when I got mine out, since they were taking out the 4 other teeth so I could get braces, they decided to just take the wisdom teeth out at the same time. My wisdom teeth weren't even growing out yet, so they had to cut into my gums to take them out. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that since your teeth aren't grown in yet either, the process should be pretty short. Then again, it all depends on how hard it is to remove the teeth from your jaw. Okay, so for the IV/pain part, it really isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. If they do end up knocking you out, then what they'll do is they'll put this weird mask-type thing that just goes over your nose. After about 3-4 minutes, you'll feel like you're in a COMPLETELY different world. It's feels super weird, and I actually kinda liked it, I'd like to just do that part again. It was awesome, haha. Anyways, at that point you don't really feel anything, you're not knocked out, but you just don't have any worries. You feel carefree and amazing. Then they'll put the IV in (which feels like just a little pinch, then the pain is gone), and anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes later, you'll be out as a light. When you wake up you just feel like you took a 2 second nap, it's trippy. Like I said before, it's different with every patient, but for my incisions, they were maybe the size of your -nail, maybe a little bit bigger. So, they're really not that big at all; in fact they may have been a little smaller than that. Good luck, and hope all goes well! -Hope it helped, & if you have any further questions, feel free to email me, I'll be willing to answer any questions you have :)
