Making windows, that are also solar panels, seems to me to be redundant, as we all ready have many solar panels that go on the roof. Why redesign the wheel ? Modern panels can be "turned to follow the sun" now, to increase their effective collection of energy. Any ways, do a Goggle and look around for costs and ROI. Here in Canada. most public buildings, schools and factories have solar roof arrays, to heat water, and supplement electrical power use. In isolated parts of the country, solar panels are common, as are wind powered towers for individual homes, and water purification using sunlight stills, and solar ovens, for outdoor cooking, without using any wood as fuel. The downside of most solar and wind set ups are the initial cost of installation, which can be a lot of money. Once they are installed and running, they tend to be easy to maintain and last for a long time, with little in the way of annual costs. Jim B. Toronto.
