? It's dirt cheap already, and will only get cheaper. Or are you looking for "free"?

If you have a decent job you could afford a vr setup. Just don't go take vacations. You can get a 1070 or even a RX 480 if you want a good VR Experience. I would get the HTC Vive or oculus rift. but i don't really do VR now and I rather do 1440p or 4k. If your not into pc's theirs samsung gear vr and google cardboard.

depends on the level of performance you want but eventually the high performance systems we see today (Oculus Rift and HTC Vive) will go down in price.

Yes it already is - try Google Cardboard. Since its open sourced as well, its adaptable too. VRidge works with quite a few Steam games.

It's affordable now, depending on your definition. 20 years ago, VR would cost you a 5 or 6 figure sum of money, with Playstation 1 era low resolution graphics.
