if you are in the process of rehabilitating your student loan it apparently is not in default when it is in default your refunds will be offset
Answer #3 | 22/12 2013 12:04
Once you get your school loan rehabilitated, do not file taxes until the offset has been officially removed - and not until Treasure tells you it is gone. If you count on paperwork from your school loan people saying that it is gone, and if the offset is not yet removed from Treasury, then you will not see your refund.
