No- it has many side effects but baldness isn't one of them -I have first hand knowledge of using Lexapro.

Best to speak to your Dr about possible side effects. In the mean time: https://www.drugs.com/sfx/lexapro-side-effects.html Also this 1 case study. Remember that 1 case study is not strong enough evidence to reach a conclusion. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3219523/

I've actually never heard of Lexapro doing this. I've been taking it for 10 years. I'll admit, my hair is much thinner than it used to be, but it only started thinning when I was on a diuretic (Diamox). I still had thick hair for about 3 years after starting Lexapro. Lexapo, however, can definitely cause weight gain, which may lead to hormone changes that cause hair thinning/loss. If you are worried about this, then make sure you are getting in enough protein into your diet, and try your best to avoid the cravings that come with it.
