Yes there is a possibility. I will recommend you to do circuit training combination of cardio and lifting, so you lose fat and build muscle, also measure yourself with a tape and take before and after pictures. Do not concentrate yourself in weight, weight yourself once a week or once a month. Compare the results after one month. Do not forget to eat healthy as well. In addition: Fat does not weight more than muscle, a pound will always be a pound. In the case that you will get heavier can be for different reasons: 1) you are building muscles you never worked before, so they are becoming visual (muscles take less space than fat, so you could be getting smaller and be heavier) 2) you can build muscle on top of fat that would not be good, so you need the cardio as well
