Yes when it not tightened properly, the wind will make it "Flapping" and in the long run (few months) the paint damage will occur. Do not use it ! 3M make a good product that you can spray on like doing painting and when it dry out, will leave a hard rubber like surface but it look like a clear coat. Check with your auto part store or local body shop. I have to go to the shop so can not look and provide more information into detail. Hope it help.

Once you put it on dont take it off "to dry out". taking it off and on every time it rains will stretch/ wear it out. If you can get a bra that is breathable. I had a bra from "La Bra" on my car for years and it didn't flap. It had two 12" spoilers on top that the wind pressed it down to the hood. After acouple of years I took it off and there was a slight color differance AT FIRST, but in a couple of weeks in the sun it blended back. Before I put the bra on it had been painted white with blue peral clearcoat 6 mounts prior.
