Will not bolt up without major mods.. Plus it needs to be the same gear ratio.

It has to be from a first generation Grand Cherokee. If they have the same gear ratio it will work in 4x4. The Grand doesn't need vacuum lines to activate like the early Cherokee's so just unhook them from the transfer case and rip them out. I don't know what that other guy is talking about it will bolt in just fine like it was made for it. Both Jeeps even use the same control arms steering components and the front springs are the same in all 4.0l Jeeps.
