He had just written his proclamation against actions of the Vatican in Rome, and wanted Germany and other European countries to have the Bible translated into languages they could read themselves.

I don't know Luther Martin, but Lex Luthor was in favor of a powerful centralized corrupt government. Kind of like we have now.

He had some radical views for the time and probably didn't want those ideas regulated or checked on and back then, "a strong central government" meant an oppressive king

ho is Luther Martin? if you mean Martin Luther, he was a Catholic Priest who challenged the Church autocracy in the 16th Century!..I don't believe he ever made a statement about centeralized governments!
