General Motors was on the verge of bankruptcy in 2010. They had to reorganize the company and concentrate on more profitable brands. Since by that time, most "Pontiac" automobiles sold in the USA were actually imports from Australia or Japan, it was easier to drop that brand, similar to what they did with Oldsmobile in 2004. Any remaining General Motors automobile dealer should be able to maintain and repair Pontiac cars for the near future.

Depends on what you need. Obama told GM to trim the fat so they did away with Pontiac even though they sold more Pontiacs than Cadillacs. Go figure!!!!!!!!!! Any GM dealership can still get certain Pontiac parts. Certain trim pieces may not be available anymore & whatever stock is in the dealerships across the country is all that's left. All dealerships can check any inventory in any dealership to see if any are in stock!!!!!!!
