I think many people want to get ahead and so they follow societies rules, and if they are not seeing results they have thought about being bad. In the first few episodes, Walter White was getting punked by his boss, the bald cop, his son was getting punked, he could have gotten rich, but didn't. So, he broke to be bad and follow another path into another world. I think people can relate to it, and it was an interesting story with great writing.

Before I found this question, I'd been searching this site and the rest of the internet for other viewers who didn't find Breaking Bad relatable, and I can barely find anything out there either. I've also been searching for solid answers about why it's supposed to be good and it's been hard to find any that aren't just subjective or vague.
