Because you're addicted and with the Absence of nicotine it makes you crave it more, this results in you having a cigarette and therefore not being able to quit smoking. You have to resist the urge to have a cigarette and you will find it easier to quit smoking.

Its because you don't really want to. The only way to stop is cold turkey and for this you need will power which you do not have. The want to stop smoking must outweigh the need to do it. I stopped cold turkey April 2012, don't get me wrong I still want a cigarette now and again but I am bigger than that so I don't do it. Wanting to do it should be enough reason for you to stop, if you say you want to but inside you don't then you won't. You have to be prepared to go through the withdrawal symptoms without giving in, what's the point in stopping for a day or two and then going back on it. Crazy. Just do it.

If anything you do continuously you become habitated to it. So, if want to change your habit then stop smoking for 15 days by diverting your mind then you will forget smoking.. All the best..

Its because you don't really want to. Now a days there is lots of medicine will be discovered to stop smoking and drinking lequire. Consult with the Doctor and use it.
