That like asking someone to perform a forced lobotomy on themselves. Why would one sacrifice free thinking, quest for true knowledge, letting go of ancient myths for a feel good delusion.

It sounds like you are talking about someone who is not used to any religious knowledge. Like it's all new to them. At a time when someone is not used to the subject, I would think it was normal for them to question things about religion. They simply don't know enough at the time to make a decision about it.

Because belief is not a choice; it's something you come by based on your knowledge, experience, and way of processing information. Trying to force yourself to practice something you don't really believe in or that isn't really important to you is simply being dishonest with yourself and it doesn't feel right--it's unsettling to live a lie.

You can't chose what to believe. Beliefs are based on evaluation of evidence.

Why would I force myself to be something that repels me. Why don't you force yourself to be an Atheist. Not a Christian and Not and Atheist

the simple answer is, he has not become born again. and if he does not desire to becoe a christian, nor a latter day saint, they will lose the cup they couldve drank from. but realisitically one who has no desire will not drink until the time is humble for him to receive it. however one should remember not to procrastinate the day of repentance. because there is a God. and from the lips of jesus himself, He said "do not join any of them" they are all "wrong".

Nothing is impossible religion or not! Also, people do change. And if you are professing to be one of Goodness and Love, then - "Judge not, lest ye be judged." Peace and Blessings
Answer #9 | 23/12 2013 07:11
Why are you so bothered about that.? If you are really religious, dont worry about dragging people to the religion that you believe in..Leave them instead, and let them know what their path is by themselves.
Answer #10 | 23/12 2013 07:09
We can only open to truth and allow it to come in.
Answer #11 | 23/12 2013 07:08
Because becoming a Christian is a work of Jesus Christ. If one could "force" themselves to be Christian, then that would works based righteousness and not the grace of God through faith.
