Temperature change from going inside/outside, involving the cold. It would likely happen in the summer if you put your hand next to an air conditioner air vent, or in cold water for awhile.

have you ever broken that finger. the cold and wet weather will affect a break causing pain which is not present in warm or dry weather. my mother broke her wrist when she was a girl and even now shes in her late 60's she will still get sharp stabbing pains or even mild ones usually in wet or cold weather or she's worked a little to hard.
