The price for upgrading to Windows 7, 8 have come down in price significantly, enough where you can afford to upgrade. As of April 8, 2014 Microsoft will end all support for Windows XP which means no more security downloads, no service packs, no patches, no drivers support

wow you sound so technically minded with your question - one wonders why you need to post a question Can I ask - how much ram do you have installed? Why are you only using xp service pack 2? Why are you still using xp? Why my questions?? 64bit os is only needed and/or supported if your mobo accepts more than 4gb ram, if your bios is capable of +4gb ram etc etc and if the system has more than 4gb why didn't you also update the os? no I don't care about voting points - I care about giving proper answers to reasonable questions - helping those that need help for free
