I think most people have no idea how limited their ability to stop will be, in the rain. Tread depth is critical when in the rain, I read recently, that a tire with minimal tread depth can take,,,,,,,,TEN TIMES,,,,,the distance to stop, as compared to a tire with new tread depth. VERY SCARY.

they have no idea of the co-efficient of friction between tires and a wet highway, they have no idea of braking distances on wet surfaces, they are selfish and yes you guessed it they are stupid

You may be surprised to know that university studies have shown that the reason this happens is that people concentrate so hard on their driving that they overcompensate for the bad conditions and end up driving faster than usual.
