Why do light skinned people generally consider dark skinned people inferior?

Most of it is rooted in slavery. The lighter-skinned slaves or "mulattoes" were the offspring of the slave master and were subject to preferential treatment (education, less laborious tasks) and got to live on the plantation as house slaves. As a result, it created rivalry between the darker field slaves and the lighter house slaves. Many of the lighter skinned slaves thought more highly of themselves because of them being partly white and not facing the same degree of life's hardships as the darker field slaves. Unfortunately, to this day, this line of thinking still exists within the black community as a remnant.

The media. If I was an alien and came to this planet and heard about this I'll be like "WTF!!". It's unbelievable how people still think this way. It's so stupid.

some dark skinned people are generally tensed and so have a fightnening vibe
also darkness i portrayed in the media as scary
this is what i have observed i honestly do not mean to offened anyone at all .
not all dark skinnned people are feared because they can be amongst some of the most peacefull people
