how much lower was it from the requirement? if it was only a bit lower,then the university probably has accepted you because they know that people with more qualified scores will not pick to go to their school. colleges need to select students who have lower scores because they still need students if the more qualified students don't chose them.

A 2.6 isn't great but it isn't bad either. It just mean you had mostly D and C throughout high school. Some university actually will accept a 2.6.i know about 4 universities in the state I live in, in which will accept a 2.6 as a gpa score. Your gpa isn't the only thing colleges look at either. They might accept you if you have high test rating in your sat and acc test. They also might accept you if you have a lot of community service within your transcript. They also look at your extra activities such as sports, etc.. Some colleges even have you write a essay along with your transcript and den pending on how good your essay is, they might except you too.
