I have not been to the Ginger Pig so can not comment. However, I can recommend The Regency Fish Restaurant that serves excellent sea food, including the great british fish and chips. This restaurant is in an old house that was built by the founder of Coutts bank for his wife. You can find it on the seafront on the corner of Regency Square. It is well worth a visit. Another favourite is The House in East Street. This place is in a house. Diners sit in small interconnected rooms. The place is cosy and atmospheric. The food is traditional and very reasonably priced. Try either restaurant and your housemate will not be disappointed.
