Depends on how you drive.

And we're interested in what "people" have been saying -- why, exactly? There is nothing -- repeat, nothing -- inherently unsafe in any current Porsche, or indeed any car that's built in or allowed to be imported into the States: they all have to meet a certain safety standard, or they don't go on sale. Still, you can't legislate the laws of physics, and all the techno-trickery in the world can't save you if you're running flat out and something goes wrong.

There is nothing inheriantly wrong or bad with a Porsche. In the hands of a skilled driver, they are very efficent machines. In the hands of a drunk idiot, they will kill you quicker then the Pinto will, but the Pinto will kill you just as dead & only take 30 seconds longer. It's not the car, it's the driver....

There is nothing like driving a Porsche, if you ever get the chance then do so before making judgement. Some of the ones back in the 80's handle better than a Corvette of today.

Any car is unsafe if you drive like an idiot on a Public road. Are you lot really still this upset about losing trans-am to cars with half the displacement? Shame, you really should get over it. Edit: it's funny you should mention ford, they don't even need to crash to catch fire
Answer #6 | 03/12 2013 08:24
You should have saved your time and effort. Clearly, you're a Moron, with a capital 'M'.
Answer #7 | 09/12 2013 11:01
It's the driver not the car.... no wonder you have the screen name "dregs."
Answer #8 | 03/12 2013 18:57
A Porsche of ANY model is an inherently safer car than a Ford Pinto, however no car is safe 100% of time and the habits and skill of the driver are one of the larger factors.
Answer #9 | 03/12 2013 15:07
The Porsche Carrera GT they were driving "... had been modified and was difficult to drive, some said scarey." They were not driving an original Porsche.
