if asked to leave and you've done nothing wrong then it's easy to get another place to live. If you did something wrong and got evicted that means they warned you and you didn't listen so they gave you notice. So to get over that eviction most people live with their families for 6-12 months so as to be able to say they lived somewhere that accepted them.

Find some cheap apt as no one will rent to you from an eviction.

Look on craigslist for "no credit check" apartments. Just don't expect them to be in the nicest or safest areas.

The SSI is not a problem, but the eviction will mean decent landlords will not rent to you. That leaves the ones in the ghetto areas of town where normally people do not want to live.
