Well, of course at the scissor blade recycling station. Unfortunately those don't exist. It doesn't come up a lot so it's not practical to recycle everything. You don't want to throw away metal. How much metal? The blades from one pair of scissors. I don't think throwing the blades from one pair of scissors is going to ruin the planet, considering there is an island of plastic garbage in the Pacific Ocean the size of New England and the Japanese Nuclear plant has poisoned most of the sea life in the Pacific Ocean. The scissor blades are steel. Throw them away. But a new pair of scissors.

Probably your only option would be your local dump. They tend to have special dumpsters for tossing metals to get recyled. But you have to ask yourself if it's better for the planet to just throw it away rather than burn the gas to drive to the dump
