Your blood circulation will slow down in your limbs. It's like sitting in a chair for 8 hours. People doing that on planes are in greater danger of getting blood clots and thus embolisms or strokes. Usually people will turn over, or change positions in bed automatically in their sleep about every 15 to 30 minutes, because the place they are laying on will begin to hurt from the pressure of skin and bone on mattress. If you drink lots of water before going to bed, your body will prompt you to get up about every 2 hours to use the john. This should help your circulation. Besides circulation problems, your muscles will get stiff if they don't move around at least a little every once in awhile.

You can get bed sores, also know as pressure ulcers or decubitus ulcers. Can be very slow healing and are a real problem for paraplegics and quadraplegics.
