with 100k in a 7 year old car you should be using 5-40 synthetic or 10-40 , 30 grade oil will not protect the bearings at high temperatures , 30 grade oils were for slow revving V8s with huge bearings and low oil pressure , modrn cars run much higher pressures to protect the bearings

What does the owners manual say? Or what does the sticker under the hood or on the oil fill say? It may say 5W30. It may even be 00W30. Definitely NOT 10W30. 10W30m is to way thick and you will have some issues with drivability. @Harley you don't know what you are talking abt. Changing grades other than what the manufacturer recommends is asking for nothing but trouble. regardless of mileage

usually on the cap where you add the motor oil it will give you the oil to use. if not owners manual will

it should say on the oil cap. if not check the owners manual. 5W-30 is the recommended type.
