Make sure your face is dry, don't press too hard & it is painless.

Wet your face and put shaving cream on then shave. Press how hard you want

No, it should not hurt at all. An idea is, just glide the shaver on your face. You do not press it down onto your face. Lightly glide it up and down. You'll hear it cutting your hair. Once you no longer hear the cutting sound, you are done with that spot. (with most electric shavers, you DO NOT use shaving creams.... use it on dry face) Every man has a favorite routine. I start with my chin, under my jar, below nose, then go to sides. But the order doesn't matter. Electric shavers actually cut better if you do it before taking shower, especially if you have softer hair. If you are Asian or have hard hair, it really doesn't matter. Also, there are one blade, two blade, 3 blade, and circular blade ones. You'll just have to try a few and find what works for you. Oddly enough, very inexpensive one blade type works the best for me. More expensive it is, worse it works..... Take your time and welcome to adulthood!
