Generally the name is the first thing the proprietor comes up with when thinking about opening a new restaurant. If you just can't think of one, try the Yahoo yellow pages from some of the other big cities, search for restaurants, and see if you can get some ideas. I agree with your accessment of Lite Bites. Terrible name. City Centre Cafe?

"Light in the Evening" maybe. (Like the Paul Simon song "Late in the Evening"). Emphasizes the time for customers and the idea of it being light fare. Good luck with your business, Dana

Small appetizers that set the theme of a dinner are called amuse bouche so I'd call it "amuse" for the lighter fare. Best of luck with the new restaurant.

If you are doing starters & Desserts only, I like "Start & Finish" Or, for a Biblical reference "Alpha & Omega" (Beginning and end). Or just "Alpha Omega's"

Call it the Lite House. You can have a light house theme and even put a light house beacon on the outside to draw in customers. Regardless of what you name it, you must advertise. Get in touch with your local talk radio station and advertise there. It's a great place to get the word out. Good luck.
