I'm a girl. I met my boyfriend in the ICU waiting room when my brother was in a coma after a very severe car accident. He sat and chatted with me for the longest time and listened to me talk even though no one else really had the time to. I still remember the look on his face when I told him stories. He still remembers the outfit I was wearing that day. A few months later, he decided to buy me tickets to a concert out of state. We hadn't really spent time together apart from waiting rooms and hospitals. I ditched school, and together we drove 5 hours in the dead of winter to and from the show, and had lunch and dinner together. We didn't get back home until about 5am. He got an autographed poster and give it to me afterwards. It was an excellent date. I was impressed immediately by his sense of adventure and his thoughtfulness to do something for me after I had had so many tough months.

My husband donated blood for me when I had a miscarriage in hospital. Now he's a part of me forever as he is fond of saying.

My husband does lots of little things. We work opposite shifts, I work days and he works nights, so we only see each other on weekends. He bought a little whiteboard and leaves me notes on my pillow. If he buys groceries he always leaves a bunch of flowers on the dining room table for me, or he picks flowers from the garden.

My husband did not want children. I did, and he agree to try to have a child. This was kind and sweet and caring
