It all depends. We can't give you a real answer with the information that you have given us. A pizza franchise might make more than an ice cream franchise and a hamburger franchise might make more than both combined. It depends on the type of franchise and it depends on your location (downtown vs edge of the city.) The franchise company that you are looking to get into should be able to provide you with some estimates. Also go and talk to other franchise owners with the same company and find out what their concerns are dealing with the franchise and what are their profits. The franchise company should be able to put you in contact with these people and if they don't want you talking to other franchise owners then that's a red flag you might not want to do business with these people. Also keep in mind that business can be seasonal. Ice Cream you might make more in summer while a coffee shop might make more in the winter.

Profit is not certain! In retail the priority is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. for example setting up burger bar next to MacDonalds is certain death! Food franchises are a license to print money for the franchisor..............can be curtains for the franchisee. Last thing I would do is this!
