Boost offers the best deals on iPhone and their unlimited talk-text-data starts from $35/month. But they're CDMA and their coverage is not that great. The best will be if you can get an unlocked iPhone and go prepaid with metroPCS or StraightTalk. I can help you the the cheap deals on unlocked iPhones, feel free to mail me. My GF uses Ultra movile. Its $20 for unlimited talk and text and sum internet. Freedom Pop is one that you can get even cheaper if you decided that you really dont need unlimited. It can be as little as free if you can limit yourself to 200 minutes. Ting is a carrier that you can build your own plan. Unlimited minutes is not as good as Ultra mobile but you may check it out. Those are the only 3 I can come up with that I have looked into. You'll have to see since coverage isn't available for everyone. All 3 of these companies use GSM tech under Tmobile's towers.

No contract iPhones usually are the same price everywhere. Probably meant unlocked which also is the same price. In that case it starts at $649

You are going to pay pretty much full retail through any cell phone carrier making payments , vs buying it outright through say Best Buy or Amazon. And unless you pay full price, you will be forced into getting a talk text and data plan, until the phone is paid off in 24 months. Oh and just so you know, if you are making monthly payments on the phone, you are in fact in a contract, one for the phone and the other for the plan.
