integraded graphics is in the cpu and uses system ram, this is generally very bad for anything graphics intensive dedicated has special ram it uses, is many times faster than any integrated graphics and is good for gaming and other graphics intensive applications

Integrated means its built into the mother board and you cant switch it out for a better one. As dedicated is a separate graphics card and you can replace them they also have more graphic power and are more powerful. Im not sure if you are going to be doing alot of gaming or such but if you intend to be playing modern games i would get the dedicated card. But if its for business or something you might want to consider the integrated one.

With laptops generally speaking all graphics cards will be integrated GPUs connected to the RAM, unless you buy one of the dozen or so which allow specialized compact graphics cards which are generally going to be a couple thousand dollars. The 512mb integrated graphics means at any time the GPU can access a maximum of 512mb of the RAM on the system board, this is bad because not only does it lower the amount of memory the GPU can use but it also lowers the system memory when it is in use. The 2gb dedicated graphics means on the board there is a secondary ram system with 2gb which can only be accessed by the GPU, this means neither your graphics or system takes a hit from shared memory when it comes to graphics intensive programs unless those programs exceed the available graphics dedicated ram, at which point some graphics cards can dip into the integrated graphics shared ram. dedicated always is going to be better than integrated when it comes to the amount of usable ram, but you also usually pay more, sometimes though the manufactures will pull a stunt replacing the cost for the dedicated ram with a weaker GPU, which means it will be no better than the more powerful GPU with the integrated ram.
