Main difference is that candy will provide you no micronutrients which means vitamins or minerals... We could add to that fibers and antioxydants... If your diet is mainly based around candy you will end up malnourished and have some deficiencies. A lot of processed food got amount of trans fat which is also bad for you by raising bad cholestorol and lowering the good one. We could also argue that candy is full of chemical substance which can increase risk of disease over time. Finally, while 250 cals is 250 cals, there is a thermic effect of food... Proteins and fiber are harder to digest and therefore you burn more calories by processing them than by eating sugar and fat which candies are generally made of off. The cliff is while eating junk in moderation is fine, especially if you avoid trans fat it shouldn't be an important of your diet...

Its how your body processes foods that matters...not the amount of calories so much. Veggies, fresh fruit, whole grain breads, lean meats all are digested slowly and effieciently. They cause you blood sugar ( energy) to be even and steady...while candy, white bread, junk foods etc cause a spike in the blood sugar levels...so the enegy isn't used and is stored...as fat....learn how right and exercise right and you wont be sorry....p90x can teach you all those things

Eating chocolate is like putting diesel into gas powered car . It just won't do any good .
