I think the nicest "gift" you could possibly give these folks is the gift of your company. Seriously, it seems clear that they really want you to come and share their celebration. Not because they feel sorry for you, but because you will add something only you can...your presence. Allow them to give you a present in return. You need not feel guilty about not having gifts for all of them...who could afford that?!! That's the most wonderful thing about Christmas...we can put aside our feelings, and make someone else happy. You will be surprised at how good it will make you feel to do this. Just think of THEM! If you spurn their desire to share, and continue to live there, everyone will feel so ill at ease that you will soon feel you must move. Please don't put everyone, including yourself, in that uncomfortable situation. Go to their party; enjoy it; accept their gift graciously; make them happy. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. A very Happy Christmas to you!
