One thing I learned about them ultrasonic humidifiers was where ever you point them it will leave like dust or maybe calcium deposit where the mist don't point it towards anything you value...also if you have hard water it will ruin the humidifier in time...if your house is real dry they don't do much...mainly for small rooms not whole house...point it towards center of room off the ground maybe shoulder to head high...its not actually steam but a cool water vapor...

I would put it near your bed where you sleep. This will have the high concentration of humidity in that area. The humidity will most definitely move around the room. The heat from the heaters will create a current in the room. You can't see it but air is always moving around. Imagine a person smoking a cigarette in one corner of your room, you would smell it in seconds on the other side of the room. This wouldn't happen if the air wasn't moving.
