It is a tough grind. My friend is Greg Proops and he tours a lot. Now, he likes to tour, but you have to be aware of getting to the venue, getting to the next venue and you need an agent who will book all those venues for you. Sure, you could do it yourself, but that adds more stress to your already filled day. Being on stage is actually a small part of it. Yes, you still have to write the material and present it and constantly tweak it. You also have to realize that a joke that may go over big in San Francisco CA, may not have the same impact in Frisco TX, so you have to adapt and you are not always going to have a great show for one reason or another
