Answer #3 | 31/12 2013 05:09
It's called the "Golden ratio" or "Divine proportion", and it isn't "true for anybody"

Answer #5 | 31/12 2013 05:08
That is where you divide a line segment in a way that ratio of the short to the long is the same as the ratio of the long to the entire segment? It's called the Golden Ratio or the Golden Mean. It's about 1.618. The laws of the universe run on mathematics not god's laws. If something does not suit mathematics, it doesn't happen.
Answer #6 | 31/12 2013 05:04
What is it's significance?
Answer #7 | 31/12 2013 05:06
Do you mean the Fibonacci sequence or golden ratio? Generally when we see it in nature, it is basically a living things current ability to most efficiently grow. Not really surprising that they eventually achieved it, efficiency is a selective pressure in evolution.
Answer #8 | 31/12 2013 05:12
There is no such thing.

yes, divine ratio is a fact. da vinci code , in my opinion is false, rubbish. the bible code is good, though. God is meticulous, systematic and thorough ... just look at the universe, the creation of man , nature, etc ... it is just so amazing ... i know this for a fact cos i know my bible well ...
Answer #12 | 31/12 2013 06:10
The golden ration, φ: φ - 1 = 1/φ φ - 1 = 1/φ φ(φ - 1) = 1 φ² - φ = 1 φ² - φ - 1 = 0: a = 1, b = ‾1 , c = ‾1; φ = (-‾1± √((‾1)² - (4 • 1 • ‾1)))/(2 • 1) φ = (1± √5)/2 φ ≈ 1.618 & 0.618

Luke Obsidia said it right.
Answer #14 | 31/12 2013 05:14
It is found where you WANT it to be found. It actually never occurs in nature. As for your measurments, LOL, thanks for the laugh, I cannot believe that people in this day and age actually believe such patent nonsense.
Answer #15 | 31/12 2013 05:15
There is no such thing as a "divine ratio". There are several universal mathematical ratios such as pi, fibonacci, base of natural logarithm "e" etc.
Answer #16 | 31/12 2013 05:18
Science completely disproved AND explained this long ago. The number is a myth, many items are CLOSE but not much is actually EXACT. Making the number a TARGET rather than an actual achievement. Caused primarily due to gravity, environment and survival requirements. Humans are the FURTHEST from the number - which kinda ironic if you going to try and blame a sky daddy or god for doing it. This is because humans walk with a gait, and do not stand directly to attention, therefore the center of gravity in a human skeleton is off center, making all measurements OFF center too.
