Both are mobile operating systems. The biggest difference between the two is the manner in which the operating system is licensed. The Android method promises faster development cycles, quicker deployment to partners, and faster adoption on handsets. In short, Android's momentum is significantly faster than Windows Mobile.

Android is a operating system made by google for mobiles and tablets. But windows is made by microsoft for pc and laptops which now available in phones and tablets. Any company or person use android in any device or develope software for android but not in android has more apps than windows. Windows was made for computer so some bugs create when run in mobile but now it solved. There are lots of android phone from low cost to high cost but there few Windows phone in market and those are mainly high cost
