A person is usually called "closed minded" when s/he refuses to budge from a belief or opinion even when presented with compelling evidence for a differing point of view. Another, somewhat older term that means much the same thing is "narrow-minded." In the worst case scenario, people such as this often resist new input and/or discoveries that, in their point of view, threaten long-held beliefs. An example of this kind of thinking can be found among people who insist that the moon landing was faked, or that the Holocaust never occurred, or that the Berlin Wall was demolished.
