If she is a new and young driver, then to get reasonable insurance she needs to be insured on an older car ,with a small engine When my son was 17 and a new driver, he drove an old Astra and paid around £90 a month on insurance He used Direct Line Insurance UK

They are still expensive when you add them to your policy as they are countering a fraud known as "Fronting" You can see about that on this BBC news link Recently the average for an 18 year old in the UK was £4800 but prices for teens have fallen a little recently That gives you the ball park that it will be in and the reason why many youngsters do not drive or even bother with the test now.
