If you are best friends, go for it. Marriage is a skill, learn how to fight the right way and you will make it. Don't give up or jump to divorce first signs of trouble, talk and let love pull you through. There will be good times and bad.

In your great-grandparents' time, 20 was considered a bit old - almost spinster-ish. In those days, people would be wondering why you waited so long! In fact, 18 was the usual age to get married. Don't worry about it. You're of legal age. Just remember - you are no longer your Daddy's Little Girl. You can't go running home to Mommy and Daddy any more, nor are they responsible for your upkeep and maintenance. You're all grown up, and you have to start looking after yourself, just you and your husband. No "playing house" on Daddy's dime.

There's no rush. You should wait until you are at least 24 before getting married. If this relationship is true love, marriage can wait. What you want when you are 20 isn't necessarily what you want when you are 24.

If you are both emotionally prepared for marriage and believe you can swing it financially, I don't see a problem. I wish you both well!
