Could be many things. You lost traction, your differential or your clutch broke. Get a mechanic to look at the truck.

I suspect two things happened. 1. You truck's clutch liner is totally worn out, and this needs replacement. 2. The power steering belt has co-incidentally broken as you reved hard in order to climb up that hill. This and other belts would need replacement also. Good luck.

No steering wheel movement...Sounds like a belt snapped. Especially if you smelled burning rubber. I had the same thing happen in my 98 eclipse. Took a sharp turn to u-turn around a train, and my whole power steering just went. Takes a huge amount of force to crank the wheel back. Check the belts. It is almost 100% your power steering. Edit : Truck will run with this - however battery won't recharge, it's hard to steer, and it will over heat ... if you are going to drive it, just drive to a garage , even then max 2 miles or so... I wouldn't drive it at all for any other reason.

You broke it. Now quit playing stupid games on the computer. Pick up a telephone and call someone who can actually come look at, touch and troubleshoot your "problem" and maybe even fix it.
