never met a woman so don't know what parts of women are different from men

Just find a gym with circuit training and spend some time on all of the machines throughout the week. As a woman, there's really no need for you to do free weight training unless you plan on bulking up, which is a bad idea. Also, remember that while you and your girlfriends think because of all those ridiculous Cosmo-type magazines that men want a boney, 1% body fat woman, we really hate that and would rather a fit, tone girl with curves. Also, don't leave out the cardio, you should be doing one of running/eliptical/stepper/bike a few times a week. Good luck!
