MMX is a single instruction, multiple data (SIMD) instruction set. This means that it allows the processor to perform the same operation on multiple pieces of data at the same time. It allows it to run graphics, video and image-editing software more quickly than previous generations of processors without MMX. MMX technology's potential target applications share several characteristics: Small native data types (such as 8-bit pixels, 16-bit audio samples) Compute-intensive recurring operations performed on these data types A lot of inherent parallelism

MMX is the instruction set which included in the processor later, may be from the pentium series. intel celeron is low budget processor with low powerful than pentium series which is used for normal daily ongoing functions, it is good for high graphics work or high end application processing.

Pentium refers to extended family of x86 microprocessors whereas Celeron is the Intel Family of low-end IA-32 and x86-64 chips. The fastest processor in the Pentium line has a clock speed of 3.8GHz and The fastest Celeron processor has a clock speed of 2.8GHz. Celeron chips are cheaper than Pentium chips.

HP is a computer manufacturer that uses many different types of CPUs in its machines. Celeron is a family of CPUs manufactured by Intel. MMX refers to an instruction set architecture (are the programming side of the processor) They determine how the processor uses its physical architecture to execute software instructions. While all Celeron processors support MMX, the term is most commonly used to refer to Pentium processors as these were the first to use MMX. Typically, Pentium-based HPs will run faster than their Celeron counterparts.
