Sushi Leblon in the Leblon beach section of Rio is good. Any Churrascaria is good for gluttony and there are tasty pizza joints all around.

Brazil is famous for its churrascarias- Brazilian-style, all-you-can-eat barbecued steak. Porcao and Fuego de Chao are two chains that have now spread to America. At these places you can eat different types of meat (mostly cuts of beef, though some pork, chicken and sometimes salmon), as well as typically huge salad bars too. If you drink alcohol, be sure to try a caipirina- it's a little bit like a mojito. To find out more about what to do and what to expect from churrascarias, check out the FoodVirgin.com website. In Sampa, Galetos etc. There is not like here that everything is a franchise. With regions has their own particular restaurant.

La Figueira (spelling?) in Sao Paulo. Beautiful indoor/outdoor dining room...in the outdoor area you sit under an enormous fig tree (hence the name). The food (buffet style) is delicious. One of my most memorable dining experiences.
