ANY speed that the car can run in 2nd year, the gear ranges overlap widely, ( THESE nimbers are imaginary they do not pertain to your vehicle) from a stop if the car can go 18 KPH in 1st, and 40 K PH in 2nd and 60 KPH in 3rd and 100 KPH in 4th, if you are going 40 KPH in 3rd take your foot off the gas or brake until 30KPH before downshifting to 2nd, engine brake and break to 12 to 15 KPH to 1st and brake to a stop. There are no RULES to downshifting, only guidelines, but be careful, err on the side of caution (slower is better).

Unless you like in a very icy area, there is no need to use the gears to slow you down other than just sounding cool or having exess amounts of gas haha. But if you must, downshift when you hit 2000 rpm's.

when you slows down you try to change your gear
